Waiting on Wednesday - Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine,  that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating or books that are in our TBR pile.  This week’s “can’t-wait-to-read” selection is

Summary (by Goodreads)

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don't.

As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

Aelin's journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

Is it just me or does this summary sound rather vague? Well, if you have been reading along and keeping up with the series like I have, there are so many secrets and discoveries within these novels that it is hard to reveal too much without spoiling the entire thing!  If you haven't started the Throne of Glass series, you really should. Aelin is an AMAZING heroine.  I am a huge fan of Sarah J Maas' series, both the Throne of Glass series as well as A Court of Thorns and Roses.  DON'T miss this one. You'll be sorry...

  1. I've read books one through three, but I'm thinking Maas is just not an author for me - I can't seem to enjoy her books. So I won't be sorry, missing the ACOTAR and ToG series. :D I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it, Christina!

    Have a wonderful day. :)
