Follow Friday

Friday Follow is a blog hop that was started by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.  Each week a different question is posted by our hosts and we will answer!  This is a great opportunity for bloggers to network and interact.
This week’s question –

IF YOU WERE TO GET A TATTOO, WHAT WOULD IT SAY OR WHAT WOULD THE GRAPHIC BE? OR IF YOU HAVE A TATTOO, SHARE A PICTURE AND ITS MEANING. – SUGGESTED BY SECOND RUN REVIEWS.

I have a tattoo.  I had been thinking about getting one for years but I REALLY wanted it to have meaning to me.  Sure, I like certain symbols and designs but I wanted something unique.  Something one of a kind.  Something that had a story behind it.  So this is what I did....as many of you know, I LOVE the Mortal Instruments/Infernal Devices series. Cassandra Clare is my favourite author and I love to immerse myself in the Shadowhunter world.   So I took some of the runes from her series and I combined them to design a dragonfly tattoo.  I had it centered on my lower back so even then it is private.  This was a couple years ago....  When I was going through some major life changes and wanted to start working on my bucket list.  Dragonflies are symbolic of change and all of the components that create the dragonfly have meaning.  My drawing was absolutely terrible but the tattoo artist tidied it up and made it more feminine. He also added color so it is black and violet.  I would LOVE to post a photo of it but because it is unique to me, I would not want anyone else to copy it...part of that one of a kind thing. Maybe one day I'll share but for now, I'm going to be selfish and let you use your imagination.  :)
